The morning after the House passed the health care reform bill 220-215, CNN interviews one of the Congressmen who voted for the bill, Anh “Joseph” Cao from Louisiana – the only Republican to vote “yes” for the bill. Cao claims it was “a decision of conscience… to support the health care reform bill… it was the right decision for the people of my district.”
bytestyle.tv It comes down to this: Each “representative” that voted to pass Cap and Trade has violated their Congressional Oath of Office to “well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office.” How on earth can you–in good faith–fulfill the duties of the office by voting to pass 1500 pages of legislation YOU HAVEN’T READ?! So here’s my own personal Oath: I do hereby solemnly swear to remove from office every representative who thinks it’s ok to pass 1500 pages of ill-conceived legislation without knowing what’s in it.
